I've heard that people with allergies are at a lower risk for some types of cancer. Is that true?
There is some research suggesting that,. The theory is, an active immune response to allergies might help the body recognize and destroy cancer cells. But it's certainly not black and white.
Also, some symptoms of allergies are similar to early symptoms of certain cancers. It's always wise to see a healthcare provider if something doesn't seem right.
