I recently read about ovarian cancer being a silent killer as its symptoms are usually misdiagnosed. What might be some signs to be aware of?
You're right, ovarian cancer is often diagnosed late because its symptoms can be vague and similar to those of other conditions. However, pelvic pain, bloating, appetite changes, frequent urination, and menstrual changes might be some potential signs.
It's also important to know that these symptoms can be easily mistaken for other conditions like Ibs or Pms. That's why ovarian cancer is often not diagnosed until it has spread.
Back pain, fatigue and unexplained weight loss can also be indicators. Although these are common symptoms for many ailments, if they persist, it's worth getting checked out. Always listen to your body and if something doesn't feel right, get it checked out.
