I'm no pundit, but I've seen any analysis indicating that certain compounds found in citrus fruits, such as limonene and flavonoids, may get protective effects against skin cancer. Nevertheless, I think more studies are needed to fully understand the mechanisms involved.

I've been trying to incorporate more citrus fruits into my diet lately, and while I can't speak for of course if it's had any hit my skin cancer risk, I get noticed that my skin appears healthier overall. It could be owing to the antioxidants or just the general boost in vitamin C intake.
