Hello everyone, I've recently been reading about myelodysplasia and I'm just wondering if it is classified under cancer. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Hi, myelodysplasia or myelodysplastic syndromes (mds) are indeed considered a type of blood cancer. They occur when immature cells in the bone marrow start growing out of control.

is correct. Myelodysplasia affects the bone marrow and the blood, similar to leukemia, which is why it is classified as a type of cancer.

Hi, yes, there are a number of charities and organizations that offer scholarships for cancer survivors. Have a look at Cancer for College and the Patient Advocate Foundation for starters.

That's absolutely right! In fact, the American Cancer Society also has a scholarship program for survivors and patients undergoing treatment.

I've heard about a soap that supposedly treats skin cancer. Is that possible? Sounds too good to be true.

That sounds pretty unfeasible to me,. I believe the standard treatments for skin cancer involve surgery, radiation therapy, and other targeted therapies. I would be cautious about any claims that soap can treat skin cancer.
