The role of Telomerase in Cancer Friend or Foe?

I'm not sure on targeting telomerase straight. Cancer cells have several ways to bypass treatments, and they might find alternative pathways to sustain their telomeres. Maybe knowing the underlying mechanisms driving telomerase activation in cancer cells could leadto more effective therapies.
