Can a Ct scan effectively detect colon cancer?

That's proper. Ct scans are often used as element of the diagnostic procedure for colon cancer. They can detect tumors, polyps, or more abnormalities in the colon and surrounding field. Even so, it's not foolproof, and often other tests like colonoscopies are needed for a more accurate diagnosis.
