Sharing Breast Cancer Survivor Pictures Empowerment or Exploitation?

I agree that sharing survivor pictures can be empowering, but I also worry on the line amongst empowerment and exploitation. sometimes it feels like these images are used for shock value or to evoke pity rather than truly uplifting survivors. How can we insure that sharing these pictures remains a positive and empowering act?
