Treatment for papillary thyroid carcinoma often involves medical procedures to get rid of the thyroid gland, followed by radioactive iodine therapy to destroy any remaining cancer cells. At times, hormone alternative therapy is essential following surgical treatment to regulate thyroid hormone levels. Chemotherapy or targeted prescription therapies may be considered in state-of-the-art cases. Does anybody have personal experience with any of those treatments?
