What's in a Name Blood Cancer Terminology

Hey everybody, I've been doing any study on blood cancers lately, and I've noticed there are so many distinct names for them. Can someone help clarify this for me?

Yeah, it can have pretty confusing. I think the names oftentimes referenced distinct types or subtypes of blood cancer, but I'm not entirely sure.

That's right,. Blood cancers encompass a range of diseases that affect the production and function of blood cells. Each type has its own characteristics and treatment method options, hence the divers names.

Effectively, there's leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma, just to name a few. each of those falls under the class of blood cancer but affects diverse kinds of blood cells.

And within each of those types, there are even more distinct subtypes. For example, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (all) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (cll) are both types of leukemia, but they get different attributes and treatments.
