Hey, does anyone know the key differences between stomach cancer and an ulcer?

Sure! Stomach ulcers, also known as peptic ulcers, are basically sores that form in the stomach lining. They're often caused by H. Pylori bacteria or long-term use of Nsaids.

In contrast, stomach cancer is a disease in which malignant cells form in the tissues of the stomach. Symptoms can be similar to ulcers, which is why it can be confusing: discomfort in the stomach area, nausea, heartburn or indigestion.

That's right. Both can cause similar symptoms so it's important to get checked if you have persistent discomfort. In more severe cases, stomach cancer can cause weight loss, difficulty swallowing, and bloody stools.
