#1
Hi guys, I recently read an article? Relating Hpv (human papillomavirus) to the risk of getting oral cancer. Can anyone provide more insight into this?

Hello! Yes, there is a connection indeed. Certain types of Hpv, most notably Hpv type 16, have been found to be highly associated with oral cancer?, particularly oropharyngeal cancers.

To add on to, the virus? Can cause changes in the cells it infects, which can ultimately lead to cancer. Smoking and heavy alcohol use can multiply this risk! ??

? ‍♂️ Keep in mind that while Hpv can increase the risk, it doesn't mean you'll definitely get oral cancer if you get an Hpv infection. Many Hpv infections go away on their own thanks to your immune system?.

Yeah, it is scary stuff. It's important to regularly check in with your doctor or dentist? For any abnormal signs in your oral cavity or throat, especially if you're at risk. Stay safe, folks! ?
