Tumor Marker for Liver Cancer
#1
hi absolutely everyone, I've been researching about liver cancer lately, and I came across the notion of tumor markers. Can anybody here clarify what tumor markers are and which ones are commonly employed for liver cancer?

another tumor marker that's often employed for liver cancer is des-gamma-carboxy prothrombin (dcp), on top known as prothrombin induced by vitamin K absence-ii (pivka-ii). Similar to Afp, elevated stages of Dcp in the blood may suggest the presence of liver cancer, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma (hcc).
