yes, I've heard that too. Along with difficulty swallowing, I've read that persistent indigestion or heartburn could also be a sign. Has anyone here ever mistaken those symptoms for something less serious?

I haven't personally experienced it, but I know somebody who did. They ignored persistent heartburn for months before ultimately going to the doctor. By then, the cancer had already progressed quite a bit.

another symptom that often will get ignored is unexplained mass loss. Has anyone here qualified sudden weight loss with out changing their diet or exercise routine?

That's interesting, I didn't realize mass loss could be linked to esophagus cancer. Thanks a lot for sharing that. I've on top heard that a persistent cough, specifically 1 that doesn't go away with medication, could be a indicator. Has anyone had a cough like that before?

I haven't personally, but my cousin did. At first, they imagined it was only a lingering cold, but it persisted for months. Eventually, they went to the medical professional and were diagnosed with esophagus cancer.
