Can a Ct scan effectively detect colon cancer?

Hey folks, I'm curious about something. Can a Ct scan exploding on colon cancer? I've heard mixed opinions on this. Any individual have any insights or activities they'd like to share?

from what I realize, a Ct scan can indeed detect colon cancer to some extent. It's not the primary method of screening, however it can undoubtedly show abnormalities in the colon that might indicate cancerous growths.

I experienced a Ct scan recently for any abdominal discomfort, and they found a suspicious mass in my colon. Turned out to be cancer. So personally, the Ct scan was crucial in detecting it early sufficient for treatment method.

I actually went in because of some persistent abdominal pain and modifications in bowel habits. At first, I thought it may only be something minor, but my medical professional suggested a Ct scan only to be safe. And I'm glad they did.
